About
Welcome to my E-Portfolio! I am a rising senior majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Finance at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. My goal for the next year at Newhouse is to gain real-world experience. I am passionate about creating strategic connections between a brand and the public through various media channels and approaches. As a mindful, charismatic, creative-driven female, I plan to work hard to accomplish my goal by joining programs offered at Newhouse, producing strategic campaign plans, and leaving a trace of my leadership skills at Newhouse.
Where I come from
I grew up in a small town in Mexico which borders an even smaller town in California, to a family of four. I have lived the best of both worlds cherishing the culture of Mexico and at the same time taking part in the innovative and fast-paced world of the United States. Living in the U.S. in a Mexican household taught me how present norms and language barriers are, at a very young age I had to ask for everything myself, from ordering a burger to scheduling my own doctor's appointments since my parents did not speak the language.
I find that this has brought an abundance of independence, drive and responsibility into my life which has fed my love for public speaking and engaging with communities.
